I find that status updates are very amusing, especially between those who have read the book. What do you think? Do you leave or read other people's status updates?

I have friends that do the status update thing. And I do find them amusing at times. I just have to admit I'm too damn lazy to keep us with status messages though. But in real time when I am reading something that makes me want to pitch a book across the room or something. Oh you best believe you will hear about it for sure. Hence all my comments or whatever is said in the review, in groups, etc. If a book does me wrong there is not a single person that WON'T be finding out about it.

Usually I go directly to the person's profile page and it will show them on there sometimes. Or if they are a friend, I catch them in my updates feed

I have done it a few times and I like reading them in general....but a few people have complained about updates that contain spoilers. Spoilers don't bother me, but they seem to seriously bother some people. Having to censor my comments on what I read before I share them isn't as appealing to me, so I haven't been doing it as much.
I do read reviews, I am new to Goodreads, and have found the reviews on here much more helpful than the reviews on Kindle. I rarely write reviews and if I do, I don't mention much about the plot, just the style of writing and whether or not I found it to be worth a read.
