another more recent one was Fourth Wing (also currently my favorite) I never cried so much over a book. at least not in years...
doe i did cry when I finished Percy Jackson bcz I didn't want to let them go

I teach this every year to my year 4 class and every year I cry, in front of the kids and every year, the kids cry with me.
