OMG, I love it! It stuck with me for a while after I read it, especially certain scenes that are from the first person experience, but I don't want to spoil anything. I also love most of the books I read by this author.

I could not agree more, Bailey! It was so addictive and had a HUGE impact on my life! The scene that stuck with me the most was (⚠️SPOILER ALERT⚠️) when Roland was unwound and it was from his point of view this absolutely blew my mind! I had thought it had been brutal before!

That is the exact scene I was referencing! That stuck with me for a while because of how well written it was!!!! It actually made me feel panicked!!!!!!!

Yes!! I agree 1,000%!! Neal Shusterman did a FANTASTIC job of making a world and a sense of panic in distress in this dystopian society. I have a book signed by him and it is one of my most prized possessions! What characters did u prefer?

I really liked Lev. There were a lot of characters I liked, but for some reason he was my favorite! You?

If I had to go out of the big three, I would defiantly have to choose Lev! Risa was great too, but I wasn’t a huge fan of Connor. I just felt that his character was cliche… maybe it’s just me. My favorite SIDE character would have to go to Hayden Upchurn. He wasn’t in the books a lot, but his positive attitude and energy added a little something to the dark fantasy!
Ok… tbh I kind of wish this was a standalone… I started reading the second book and just COULD NOT! I didn’t get through it and it felt like it was unnecessary story.
Hmm… interesting 🤔 I’m not shaming you and I respect your opinion, but why? I REALLY enjoyed the whole series, though I think it could have been a GREAT standalone! The first one was defiantly the best out of the four, I agree with that. But why did you not like the second one?

I am also curious! I loved all four, but that's just my opinion. What didn't you like about the second one? Have you read any of his other series?
