"I-" He stammers, trying to find his words through his obvious anger. "I did not rehearse that ten times! You're speaking absolute nonsense, as usual." He quickly retracted his finger almost self-consciously, giving another withering glare. "I'm just more skilled than you, I have no need for your stupid people. Useless to me!" He spat, running a hand through his hair. "If anyone is afraid to get their trousers muddy it's you. Mocking me like you just did, probably to change the subject and direct the blame to me!"
"I am not flustered by your stupid antics, Pheonix-" Skye insisted, quickly turning his head away. Though a very faint pink was apparent on his cheeks if you looked close enough. "I didn't take your people! I already told you, I have zero use for them." He shook his head, his anger now mixing with an odd sense of awkwardness. He wasn't dropping this just yet, but he already was at a loss of words. After his grand entrance, which took a large majority of his energy.
( OH_)
Mason walked cautiously up the stairs back on the roof. 'your majesty, more people have reported missing- what are we to do?'
"Shut up! You're the one acting," He scoffed, a small waver in his voice catching even himself off guard. "Just...Just stop playing around with me, It's obvious you have mine! I wouldn't be here accusing you of taking my own if I knew I had yours...Or! Or maybe you took mine, thinking I took yours, and...that's your stupid plan." The last part was basically like a child's mindset, especially with the way he brightened with the retort.
He then glanced at Mason, sighing. "Go away, you're making it worse." He mumbled to the stranger.
'what Mason?!'
He jumped startled, 'your mothers gone-' he whispered. Phoenix's face shattered he exhaled shakily. 'Tell me where she is!' he stepped towards Skye. 'i swear to bloody god I will kill you'
"God damn it!" He ended up yelling back. "I fucking don't have your people! I don't have your mom either! I wouldn't put you through having no family, I know how that feels, dumbass! And no, in case you still doubt me, I don't have much of anywhere to 'hide' anyone!" Skye pulled back, taking a quick deep breath. He tried his best not to get anxious in this setting, it would look horrible. ". . .You're full of it, aren't you? Stop assuming. I only blamed you because I didn't know. Now I don't even fucking know." Skye tugged at his sleeves and continued to glare.
He sucked in a shaky breath, forgetting how to breathe- his own castle and he had trouble feeling safe in his own house. Phoenix trembled before shifting his demeanor and wearing a blank face.
He turned to Skye 'I'm nice enough to let you prepare for war right now. I'll lend a boat coursing to your kingdom so you can order your attacks. I never wanted to make a war-'
"We don't need your shit!" He said loudly. "You want a war? Then so be it! You don't have to believe me. I tried to be calm, but you want to fuck it all up. Just don't blame me when you're on your knees, begging for the war to end. I'll tear down your kingdom piece by piece, you won't even have any citizens to go missing any more." Did he over-exaggerate? Possibly, but either way, he meant it. He would fight back. "Have fun." With that, he turned and strode out of the room.
Mason placed an hand on Phoenix's arm and smiled pitifully at him. Phoenix hated the smile and looked away 'dont give me that look, it doesn't suit your ugly ass face ' he mumbled blinking to keep the tears back.
'he can't win? Right? We got this' Phoenix's voice trembled.
Mason didn't respond to heading down the staircase leaving Phoenix alone with his thoughts.
The thing about SKye was he usually went all out when he got the chance. And, looking at his long family history, war was practically in his blood despite the years of peace. So, the second he was in his own castle, he had a whole group of his royal cabinet around a large table, not missing a beat with planning. We would take charge. He would win this.
Right?
"We have the best advantage at night time. Whenever out the first attack is, I mean.
Viron rolled his eyes at Phoenix and leaned backwards. 'its not going to work.' he whispered. 'someones going to get hurt. We should go for daytime.'
'just trust me okay?' Phoenix whispered, 'he doesn't remember what happened.. and we can use that against him'
Skye stayed up a while, planning with various people.
"We need to be mindful, You know Pheonix will guess perfectly that we're moving at night, right?" Said his advisor, Lila.
"Yeah, that doesn't mean he knows exactly what time at night or where. Him knowing just means he's gonna evacuate at night or something, we need to block off all possible exits." Skye said quickly, tracing his finger along a map before him.
"That's too risky. Maybe we should attack in the daytime, by surprise.." Advised another worker, his face showing nothing but concern.
"Shut up, I know what I'm doing. Even if they corner us I can just use my powers or something." Skye retorted.
Viron knocked on the door and stepped in not waiting for a response. 'do you regret it?'
Phoenix didn't have to ask what he was questioning about he knew. 'no' he lied and sat back down in his chair. 'i'm prepared, he's not going to remember anyways. '
Viron raised an eyebrow and Phoenix sat up again looking his older brother in the eye concerning. 'dont die.. okay?'
Viron chuckled and knocked on his brother's head. 'dont be soft and foolish I'm not going anywhere.'
Skye was alert, late at night. The second the clock struck 12, he and a few knights slipped out of his castle, as soundless as possible. "Are our villagers safe?" He asked quietly, getting a curt nod from a knight to his right. "Good. I'll be off on my own, you know where to go."
Before they could stop him, Skye was gone. He had disappeared into the darkness and quickly ended up in the other kingdom. He hid behind a tree near the center of the kingdom, pulling his hood over his head further. Luckily, their main target was the castle - but there were enough knights of his own to search the village too. First, Skye would strike silently - practically unnoticed. He wanted to make sure to get as far as possible before making a scene. Strapped to his leg was a knife, and that was all he needed - considering he could control the elements. A stream was nearby, and there was already plenty of wind. It was a great setting, the moon dimly lighting the houses around him. "He won't see what's coming." He smirked.
Viron was dressed as a guard, his suit included several knife and guns and he had his face covered.
Phoenix was busy wondering the dungeon in search of maps to Skye's kingdom to sneak in and find his mother.
Skye had made it all the way to the castle. He ended up at the side, noticing guards - and realized he could only even get inside by climbing. Not an issue, but not an easy option either. "Fuck.." He hissed, digging in his pockets to try and find something, anything to help. His eyes searched the area, none of his own back up was around. Probably at the front - or round the village.
"Useless." He murmured, creeping around the back. He needed to find the dungeons here as well.
It was obviously new and improved because he found a page with Skye in it. Intrigued and flustered he read through the descriptions. Phoenix heard footsteps approaching before he finished the last page and accidently dropped the book, startled.
As usual Skye ended up inside the castle with little effort. He was easily quick on his feet, so with a little help boosting himself up with the wind.
He was on a windowsill, which somehow was unlocked. Thsi made him smirk.
He opened the window as carefully as possible, opening it just enough to slip inside. He did a small roll, half intentional, half not -
and landed on the soft carpet upstairs. He closed the window, adjusting his gloves. This was perfect, it shouldn't have been this easy. As usual, it was. Sneaking in was probably a hobby by now.
Skye crept down the stairs, hiding behind anything he could to get past the guards. It took a while but he had managed to run to the dungeons - without looking, since he was too busy looking at the walls, he had stepped right behind Pheonix.
"Oh m- No!" He yelped, practically jumping back. He looked like a frightened cat in all honesty, his hood falling back down. "Why are you down here!"
He took a step forward, gun in his back pocket. 'you arrived a little earlier then we had thought. Did you miss we that much?'
"Tch," His eyes remain wide while he subconsciously reaches for his knife. "No, why would I miss you? You're a pain in my ass, god forbid I would miss you. Really." Skye backed away slowly.
"Yeah well you act as if you wouldn't be in mine by now." He mumbled, looking away. "I'm down here looking for...anything that shows that you're guilty."
Phoenix's didn't respond, disbelief on his face. He grabbed the information book and chucked it at Skye sitting in a chair and grumbling underneath his breath.
he paused. "..even though I sorta have to because mine are missing too.."

Phoenix paused and then wore a sick smirk 'or are you to delicate to do that? Afraid to get your trousers muddy?'
