message 1: by Mia (new)

Mia Ashley | 9 comments Mine is online or electronic of some sort purely because of convenience and price. But if I had all the money in the world and all the time, I would source the worlds largest library with the most beautiful copy of every book my heart desires LOL

Lynn (officerripley) | 281 comments My preferred mode of reading is every moment I'm awake.

message 3: by Alexa (new)

Alexa | 3 comments i like to read physical books but I mostly read online because it’s easier and also books are expensive

message 4: by Elie (new)

Elie Heart | 13 comments I like reading a hard copy of a book in a small corner, sometimes in the dark, often I read with music as well. I enjoy audiobooks because I can do school work, and chores and such while enjoying a book.

message 5: by Tara (new)

Tara Leigh | 43 comments Ebooks, it's just the most convenient for me in this season of my life. I can't carry around a book, but I can easily whip out my phone. Sometimes audiobooks, but I usually don't remember to listen to them. 😅

message 6: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (iniysa) | 149 comments Audiobook

message 7: by Christine (new)

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments Only hardcovers for me.

message 8: by Michael (new)

Michael (fisher_of_men) | 41 comments Immersive reading. I read as I listen to the audiobook (whenever possible). Helps with my reading speed and concentration.

message 9: by Malissa (new)

Malissa (malissa1578) | 163 comments I have my Kindle and read ebooks when I am not working, some physical copies, and when I work I listen to audiobooks. It's too hard to keep a ton of physical books available all the time, so I only have certain types of books and my absolute favorites in physical copy.

message 10: by Hugo (new)

Hugo Drakeley | 4 comments I like hardbacks! idk why but it just feels nice

message 11: by Christine (new)

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments Hugo wrote: "I like hardbacks! idk why but it just feels nice"

They last forever (I have hardbacks from the 1960's which still look like new books).

message 12: by Violet (new)

Violet Sorrengail | 66 comments I love physical books because I like having a way to bookmark and books smell good

message 13: by Laila (new)

Laila (i3hbmwdar) | 47 comments I love my Kindle and I read on it all the time but I also love physical books because I really really like to annotate my books

message 14: by Christine (new)

Christine | 93 comments Right now audiobooks because I can listen and do other things I need to do. But I miss having time to read the physical books

message 15: by Annie (new)

Annie Rose | 54 comments normally physical books bc i like underlining things but kinds at night so i can lay down

message 16: by Kelsey (new)

Kelsey Head (kelseyhead) | 1 comments I love ebooks on my kindle so that I can use the Open Dyslexic font for any book. I love to read before bed and by the pool before work!

message 17: by Sara (new)

Sara | 69 comments I prefer physical books but I read also online because on some site there are free books.

message 18: by Christine (new)

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments Only hardcovers for me. Never liked paperbacks, never got used to e-books. Audio books only when we travel long distances.

message 19: by Luka (new)

Luka Onee-san | 10 comments Usually physical books. Mainly paperbacks, because they are cheaper. E-books when traveling and audiobooks when doing chores at home.

message 20: by Christine (new)

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments Hardcover books are cheaper than paperbacks if you wait a year and then order them "used - like new" on amazon.

message 21: by Kristina (new)

Kristina Mateo (chicklassique) | 85 comments physical book

message 22: by Nathaniel (new)

Nathaniel (nathaniel_) | 83 comments audiobooks. Because I'm just weird and possibly the reason why someone asked if audiobooks counts as reading in this group. LOL

Actually in 2023 I went through 4 months of physical therapy and they said you can listen to music while you do it. After weeks of not listening to anything I started and I haven't stopped.

message 23: by min (new)

min | 14 comments i love reading physical books but they are too expensive so i tend to read more in my kindle

message 24: by valerie (new)

valerie Suzanne Dasinger | 2 comments My preferred mode is physical books, but I do read mainly on my Kindle due to cost and ease. If it is a book I've really been waiting on, I will purchase the book because I like to keep them.

message 25: by ♤Lizzy♤ (new)

♤Lizzy♤ (Inactive) | 200 comments physical books. flipping pages is so calming for me

message 26: by Christine (new)

Christine | 93 comments I like all 3: ebook (Kindle), physical, and audio. And for different reasons. I like to have the audiobook when I need to drive or do dishes, it makes it go faster. But I really like the Kindle or physical, so I can highlight and go back to reread my favorite parts. Or just be able to reference back.

message 27: by Christine (new)

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments Physical books have photos, you can look how many more pages until the chapter is over, you can search in the back in the index when you read non-fiction books. Plus it's such a great feeling to hold a hardcover book in your hands.

message 28: by Izzati (new)

Izzati (izzatiidrus) | 10 comments I prefer physical books because it's probably the only time my eyes are not looking at the screen. I do read e-books on my phone though. I just tried audiobook and I think that could be a good alternative when I want to rest my eyes but still want a good story.

message 29: by radhika (new)

radhika | 16 comments physical book for sure

message 30: by Colleen (new)

Colleen Shirley (casblessed) | 16 comments I much prefer a physical book. I like holding it in my hands, being able to go back a few pages to re-read something, I like the smell, and visual context. However, I find myself mostly using audiobooks simply for the convenience. I can listen to the story while driving, doing laundry, exercising, etc.

message 31: by Kimiko (new)

Kimiko | 23 comments Physical books which I mostly get from the library. I just like the feel of them in my hands and less eye strain from too much "screen time" since I work on a computer all.day.long.!

And audiobooks for my LONG commutes to work (1 hour each way).

message 32: by Diana (new)

Diana Jaques | 134 comments Definitely paper backs for me.

message 33: by Alex C ★彡 (new)

Alex C ★彡 | 7 comments I have to read paperback and hardcovers. I love actually turning the pages, it keeps me engaged. I mostly read outside in the morning or in my room at night with the lamp on.

message 34: by Sara (new)

Sara | 69 comments Alex, I'm in the same situation. ❤️

Nora (Grayson's version) (noraseed) | 179 comments paperback/ebook

The same for me. I like all 3 for different reason.

Brent Jn Baptiste | 42 comments electronic books. can easily transport and doesn't damage easily

message 38: by Carm_b (new)

message 39: by rowan (new)

rowan | 88 comments ebooks all day everyday!

message 40: by Rustybikes (new)

Rustybikes | 2 comments Ebooks. For me, it's not about the price; I moved house to a smaller place, and simply don't have room for a physical library any more.

message 41: by becs (new)

becs | 178 comments physical books most of the time but I might not mind a Kindle with some glasses that protect from the uv lighting

message 42: by Silvia (new)

Silvia | 1 comments Physical books but my bookshelves are stuffed, so unless it’s a book that I’ll read over again, a history or reference book it’s ebooks.

message 43: by Catherine (new)

Catherine Rivera | 51 comments I prefer physical books, however they're bulky and not convenient when on the road/or traveling, so unless it's one of my favorite authors or a book I want to share or re-read, I purchase ebooks primarily.

message 44: by Nicole (new)

Nicole | 19 comments I love electronic. My heart will always love physical books but I don’t buy many. The prices are expensive and they take up room. That’s why I’ve moved onto my iPad for reading. I love it. I have all the books I could want, I read faster, and it doesn’t take up a lot of space.

xin( ◍•㉦•◍ ) definitely physical although i spent so much on an ereader-

message 46: by Janice Dudley (new)

Janice Dudley | 31 comments Kindle or Audible. After 36 years of nursing I have widespread arthritis and my hands. I find it difficult to even open bottles, jars and I’m unable to hold books. In saying that I’m blessed that o am able to read

message 47: by Lady (new)

Lady Dazy (mrscsmith) I still love to read printed books, although saying that, I have not tried reading any other way. Maybe I am just old fashioned.

message 48: by maja (new)

maja | 151 comments physical books

message 49: by Caroline (new)

Caroline (carolinejonesreads) | 4 comments happy to be added

message 50: by Andy (new)

Andy Allord | 14 comments Depends on the book. With a massive collection of technology books I use all over, eBook please. For all others physical books only.

I will consider Audible only should the time come I cannot use the others anymore.
