Christine Mathieu | 948 comments "Angels Fall" by Nora Roberts.
Before the millennium I've read more than 30 books by Nora Roberts, but didn't care for any of them.
Ever since I've read 3 good novels by her
- Sanctuary
- Angels Fall
- Remember When (it has a SciFi sequel by J. D. Robb which I hated)

message 7: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Crowley | 1 comments All the Broken Places by John Boyne. It follows on from The Boy in the Striped pyjamas. So if you have read that one, it focuses on Bruno’s sister Greta and her life after the events in Striped Pyjamas.

I would highly recommend it x

I have no problem with the fact you didn't like this book. I happened to love it. Different strokes for different folks. I just have a problem with giving advice to others not to read any book because their opinion may differ from yours. People need to make up their own minds.

Alma Crawford (1730661128) | 22 comments I will recommend the last book I read, Camino Winds, by John Grisham. He's a relaxed writer, it's easy to breeze through his novels. I happened to win book #2 here on Goodreads. Before I started reading I acquired book 1 and reserved book 3 at my local library in case I'm not a winner of this month.

message 10: by Robert (new)

Robert Robertson (trk06) | 52 comments The Lies Amongst Us Sarah Beth Durst . A complete mess of a book . Absurd story line and cipher characters . Awful

message 11: by Christine (new)

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments I just finished "Angels Fall" by Nora Roberts and I can highly recommend it. But the TV movie (available on DVD) is even a bit better.

✿♡Erikaaa♡✿ (Uni has made her pass away) (snowflake005) | 3 comments I finish The little Friend by Donna Tartt the other day, and the only good thing about that was the fact that it ended. Needless to say I do not recommend it if you value time. No hate tho

I forced myself in the mid 1990's to read Donna Tartt's "Secret History". After page 350 I gave up. What a boring novel! Never ever Donna Tartt again!

Jade (jadenicolereads) | 19 comments Emma by Jane Austen! If you like books from long ago, with distinct, subtle humor, many, many pages, and romantic realistic style I’d recommend it.

message 18: by rowan (new)

rowan | 88 comments Always Only You by Chloe Liese, and yes, def recommend if you like your romance book with some cool representation and a golden retriever mmc❣️

message 19: by sarah (new)

sarah | 284 comments Killers of the flower moon. I absolutely loved reading this book, the historical account of what happened to the native Americans in Oklahoma was pretty despicable. I can't believe the murders were undetected for so long because it was very obvious what was going on. The horrific things people are willing to do for money, status and power are absolutely amazing. Although all these things happened so long ago it still affects that group of people for all their lifelong lives. sad sad sad. I ABSOLUTELY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.

message 20: by Jesy (new)

Jesy Joy (jesyjoy) | 92 comments adding some of these to my list!!

Jennie ♡ | 24 comments the last book i read was "the monk who sold his ferrarri" for a reading challenge and put it under the title "books i know i'll willingly hate" but to my surprise the book wasn't exactly disappointing. but let me tell you, you'll only like this book if you're all about philosophy and non-fiction and stuff. i gave it a 3/5 stars cause it wasn't exactly good or bad imo

Beautifully written, characters are wonderful, intertwining of stories. It takes place in India- refreshingly “new” and “different”.

Michael Lottamoza | 4 comments Conclave by Robert Harris. What a wonderful book. The story line was very well paced and extremely interesting.
