Just started Chapter 15. The chase is on!
I'm up to Chapter 16.Just thinking you would expect an autocrat like Avon to have pretty good control of his son, but GH handles this skillfully -Vidal's wildness is a combination of his Alastair & St Vire blood. Also(although this is not mentioned) his French grandmother on the distaff side.
I just read chapter 17 while eating my lunch, and boy was it intense!! I was so pulled into the duel that I was reading faster and faster, only to realize that I was wolfing down my lunch at a quick pace as well! Lots of great quotes in that chapter too.Tonight, I finish the book. I only wish I had a longer lunch break....
