Brianna (brithebookbabe) | 137 comments I really enjoy adding updates with my book progressions, but I feel like I am holding back on what I really want to post.
Do you all think it's okay to add slight spoilers? Maybe if cautioned with **SPOILER ALERT**?
I of course wouldn't put any major spoilers, but I also want to put how I am feeling as I read.
Thoughts?

Rori | 121 comments I don't really do book updates but if I did I'd never put spoilers in the comment section.

Thank you!
I want to put more thought behind my updates, but I don't want to ruin the book for anyone on my friend's list if they are interested.

kayceeverse | 48 comments if you have a spoiler warning, small spoilers are fine I guess. but some people just have no filter smh

A | 186 comments i dont usually do because i dont like to accidentally read a spoiler when i see my friends updates, but ill write vague things, so the people that have read it get it and the people who dont dont

Yeah, I don't want to full out give things away. I guess I want to use it kind of like a diary?
Maybe like "Oh my goodness! I can't believe she just said that!" Type stuff? lol

Thank you! I think this is what I was wondering about "small spoilers". I would never out right add a spoiler.

Same! ugh. I think about it too hard. Being someone who HATES spoilers. I keep thinking, "Am I putting too much information?"

Little miss Booknerd | 60 comments Okay lol....this might come as an unpopular opinion but if one is proceeding to give a spoiler with a major warning then I am fine because sometimes giving the spoilers makes a review better.(I skip those reviews then, but some people might read) I mean obviously to each their own but I think it also depends on the books.

message 13: by Cindy (new)

Cindy (genuinecynthia) | 106 comments I never post spoilers. Usually, it's just my overall thoughts about what I'm feeling at that point in the book.

message 14: by rae (new)

rae i don't think so. people can see your book updates and such, and i know that if something isn't blurred out, imma read the whole thing and probably get mad i read a spoiler, because i read everything i see.

Kelsey 🦋 | 50 comments I don’t really use my progress updates to share my thoughts, more my reactions because I’m completely unhinged. That being said, I think if you’re being curious and putting a spoiler warning up, it’s not a big deal. At the end of the day it’s your profile right? So you can choose what you do/don’t post and it’s not really your problem is someone wants to read your update and spoil something for themselves - especially if you’re putting on a spoiler warning

message 17: by Brenda (new)

Brenda | 5 comments I think reactions to what I read make more sense in updates or I get really creative to technically talk about a spoiler but vague enough that only someone who already read the book would understand. Or make a statement like “if you like crazy plot twists you’re gonna love chapter 25”. I think these type of comments garner interest for someone else to want to read the same book

message 18: by Kiona (new)

Kiona | 92 comments nope i try not to :)

message 19: by Keha (new)

Keha Mittal | 1 comments not really no because i remeber when i was reading as good as dead i was the spoiler for that AND I DIES BECAUSE YALL THE BOOK WAS AMAZING BUT WHEN IT GAVE ME A SPOILER I HATED. THAT. PERSON

message 20: by Austin (Weird) (new)

Austin (Weird) (weirdwashere1) | 67 comments not really

message 21: by Alys (new)

Alys Ramirez (lysramirez) | 55 comments I do. Because it’s supposed to me. But when I put the spoilers, I put a warning so if they spoil they did it to themselves. I know some people like to know what they’re getting into before. And. I also do it for myself.

message 22: by KyoAi (new)

KyoAi ♡ | 778 comments Maybe a few

message 23: by Mana_reads (new)

Mana_reads (mana_read) | 31 comments I try not to post any

☆EmilyEverAfter☆ (emilyeverafter) | 643 comments I write really vague statements that you would probably understand if you already read the book but wouldn't get it if you haven't. if that makes any sense. lol

message 25: by shania (hiatus) (new)

shania (hiatus) no and i don't think anyone should do it. anyone can see those updates and spoiling the book is rude. just my opinion🤷🏼‍♀️
