SOLVED. Adult Thriller Novel. Main character is caught in a hostage situation at a Boeing company conference with his ex wife/girlfriend. 2010-2018. Vague memory of a burning jetty as the cover.

I read this book somewhere around 2010-2018. The details I remember are as follows:

- Written in English, author I think is male. British or American I would guess.
- I read this as a paperback, so it is not kindle exclusive.
- There is a Boeing work conference or retreat of some kind at a mansion or estate. The main character (male) is there and I believe his ex wife/girlfriend is also there.
- There is a hostage situation, as the conference is taken over. I cannot remember why.
- Odd detail but I’m sure a there as a character that was an American man with a fancy watch. I vaguely recall the protagonist disliking this person.
- The cover of the book (or maybe a scene, but I remember this somewhat) was of a man kneeling on a some sort of wooden jetty with flames in the background. I think there mate have been some sort of showdown or pivotal scene here, but cannot recall exactly.

Thanks in advance for any help, this has been bugging me for a while and every attempt to find it has yielded Boeing non fiction.

I cannot believe this; i have found the book myself! It’s called power play and i found it in my garage whilst looking for other books. Consider this solved.
