Sam wants a child, but she doesn't want to make any sacrifice for one. News Flash: you can't have it all, especially with the jobs she and Nick have.

That said, this entire plot thread is being excessively drawn out. If Sam has another miscarriage, which is likely given her issues, Force needs to let it go. The drama is beginning to overshadow the suspense.
I really, really don’t want to see another miscarriage related to her job. It’s offensive.

It has been a while since I read this one, but am I remembering correctly that Sam was not yet aware that she was pregnant when she was injured and miscarried? I do think that if she gets pregnant again she really needs to avoid the physical aspect of her job and let her team handle that.

Based on her characterization so far, I cannot see Sam being willing to do this. I suppose it all depends on how Force chooses to portray it but it would be a definite departure from her personality.
