This book was in a library in texas around 2015-2016 the book was hard cover with a shade of purple as the main color with they title being a gold/silver color at the top of the book. it starts off with a group of young adults getting cornered in some rebellion and an explosion of some sort goes off sending them into a pit that they end up surviving from and from what i remember the first couple of chapters its them fight off monsters while trying to fix their injuries and they meet someone who had been living down in the hole? The book also had some flash backs or something similar to that in the sense that it would have something that happened years prior to the events in the book that tie into it. The main character is a guy i believe?
