Karin | 9281 comments I'm not sure when I first read this, but it was when there were only a couple out because at least one of my kids was reading them. This was just as fun as it was the first time around, and it's great for younger readers to get a much better picture of what things were like back then, particularly in London. It's not very pretty. Enola--yes, it's a real name and I had to look it up since it's also alone spelled backward so I wasn't sure--is Sherlock Holmes' much younger sister, and personally I think this works well in this book. I read all of "The Case of" ones, but apparently after we stopped frequenting the Children's Room at the library there were more published where the titles start differently.

I'm glad I'm not the only PBT member who enjoys it :)

Hannah | 3363 comments I've heard of the Enola Holmes books but never read one, but they sound like fun. There is also a TV series or film with Enola as the main character. I wonder if they are based on these books.

Yes, they're based on the books :) Perhaps I'll be able to see them sometime.
