Kid’s book about what they want to be when they grow up and different lunches?

I’ve been searching for YEARS for this book I read when I was a kid but I remember far more about the pictures than the actual words, which has made googling fruitless.

It was a picture book, but I read it by myself and it was definitely geared towards maybe kindergarten or first graders, probably published around 2002-7, in America. It showed a boy and girl wanting to be various things when they grew up (like the boy dressed as a firefighter and maybe pulled the garden hose into his bedroom?). I think he might have had a pet turtle too. I think the girl had a bunk bed and I remember a scene where she dressed her cat up as a mermaid or something. Definitely a bunch of scenes with her playing with/torturing the cat.

There was also a two-page spread about all of the kids at the lunch table having different lunches - vegetarian, various ethnic foods, stuff like that. It might have had a bunch of labels for all of the food too. The art style was really unique and detailed and I remember LOVING noticing all of the little things in there. There may have also been some sort of talent show at the end, or maybe the girl was fantasizing about being a fashion designer.

Any tips on how to search for this, or if by some stroke of luck you know what this is, are appreciated!
