Read this book about 3 years ago and cannot remember the title or author!

Mystery/thriller novel

Details that I remember:
- Man co-owns a business type magazine that is going under
- Is hired by an old, rich business man to live on his estate for a year to write his biography
- Old man's grand-daughter (young girl at the time) went missing many years ago at a family event and was never found
- Man works to solve the mystery of the missing girl and interviews all family members
*spoiler*
- In the end you find out that the grand-daughter ran away to escape molesting brother
- Turns out she ended up living in Australia on a farm. She got married and had a son, but is a widow now
- In the end the grand-daughter (older now) ends up getting into a weird relationship with the hired writer and becomes a partner in the business magazine to save it from going under
