Y/A romance book. Don’t remember when I read it or any publish dates but in was sometime between 2010 and 2020. It switches perspectives between a boy and girl. They first meet at some sort of book convention where they are in costume the girl is in a peacock costume and the boy is in a bag costume. They meet in the elevator on their way to the event and don’t like each other very much at first. The boy has some sort of social anxiety and hates crowds and they end up in a room together while he has a panic attack. The girl calms him with random facts one of the facts was that bats have belly buttons. They exchange numbers and start texting. The boy ends up moving to the girls town shortly after they meet but neither one knows. I think the girl has two moms and they own a bookshop or music store I forget which where the boy finds comfort and escape from is family life. He figures out that she is the one he is texting first but doesn’t tell her then she realizes and gets mad. He goes to the store to see her but she isn’t there and he has a panic attack but one of her moms calms him down with facts because she told her about his anxiety.
