ROMANCE WHERE LEADS ARE FROM THE SAME ORIGINAL COUNTRY BUT LIVE IN THE WEST

I'm thinking like children of immigrant vibes in America/UK/Western country, but they're both from the same original country and speak the same mother tongue. Obviously the book is in English, but they exchange some lines in their mother tongue? Or at the very least bond over being from the same country?

Preferably mafia but open to any genre/trope and open to any original country ofc. The annoying thing about mafia books is the male lead will be Russian/Italian/Spanish and the female lead will just be American. And if she is from the same country, they never acknowledge it or bond over it :(
