Hi everyone!

We'll be reading The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux from March 10 - April 6.

Mar 10 - Mar 16: Intro - Ch 5
Mar 17 - Mar 23: Ch 6 - Ch 12
Mar 24 - Mar 30: Ch 13 - Ch 20
Mar 31 - Apr 06: Chap 21 -Epilogue

I'll post the background information shortly. I've moved the author information discussion from a previous read into this folder for ease of access.

I'm so excited 🎉to be reading this, it's been on my TBR for a long time. Who's going to read this with me?

sabagrey | 175 comments I've only just now found out about this group read ... and I feel I should read this, maybe in parallel with Terry Pratchett's Maskerade - his hilarious discworld version of the story, complete with witches, of course. I knew what his book was based on, but never got to read the original. I'm still wavering whether I should read the French original - I'll have a look whether it is on Project Gutenberg, too.

Edit: ... it is.
