SOLVED. YA Short Story of a boy who married a hill. [s]

Read in the last year. It was in a book of short stories. Basically a boy grows up and his village is gonna be doomed if he doesn't marry this hill like all the past generations of his family have done. At the end of the story, someone goes back to the hill and he's died and I think been absorbed into the earth.
