the night circus for fantasy but there’s zero spice, romance is a subplot in it (still an incredible book). ACOTAR if you’re wanting wanting romantasy. Caraval & Once upon a broken heart are to be amazing too (what I’m planning on picking up next)

Married to Magic series by Elisa Kova. 4 books all standalone with different Magic mmcs (elf king, vampire, mer) and I highly recommend the dramatized audiobooks by Graphic Audio

Anything by Sarah J. Maas - ACOTAR, Throne of Glass and Crescent City series are all incredible imo
Fourth Wing and Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros
The Mortal instruments the first book is City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
The Raven Cycle The Raven Boys, The Dream Thieves, Blue Lily Lily Blue, The Raven King These are not high fantasy, more like supernatural/paranormal weaved into normal life. But honestly just read everything else by Maggie Stiefvater
The Folk of the Air series, the first one is The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
The Nevernight Chronicle Nevernight / Godsgrave / Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff
Renegades Series, first book is Renegades byy Marissa Meyer

In most of these recs you can just grab the other books/series by the same author too and you'd be set!

I have sooo many recommendations beyond this very small but excellent selection so if you let me know what type of fantasy do you prefer (high fantasy, paranormal, crime/mystery undertone, funny, etc) and if you prefer big book series or standalones, I'd be able to narrow it down to better suggestions for you.

PS: I'm reading mainly fantasy so feel free to just look through my reads and faves too :)
