Hidde Heijnis | 1 comments Title: De Middellandse Zee: De Samenleving en de Staat (part 2) (or in Dutch: “Deel 2”)
Author: Fernand Braudel
Language: Nederlands (Dutch)
Translator: Koen van Gulik
ISBN: 90 254 6995 7
Publisher: Uitgeverij Contact
Format: hardcover
Pages: 679
Description:

The Mediterranean Sea in the age of Philip II is a great work in European historiography. Fernand Braudel tries to describe the whole Mediterranean Sea in the 16th century. He wants to paint a complete picture and describes the sea from many angles and on multiple levels (speeds if you will) of history. It a hugely influential work.
The piece is huge and therefore often split up into two or three books. Different languages seem to have different splits. The second part is missing in Dutch. There is no Dutch edition at all for this part. I found part one of the series which is called: “het landschap en de mens”. There is also a third part that is also not on Goodreads.
I would love it if part two was added especially since it’s such an influential book.

Linde | 6549 comments Hi there, we appreciate your patience as we work through the tremendous backlog. I've added the book, you can find it here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

* Description (blurb): can you provide a description about the book in the language of the book (no spoilers), so in Dutch? It can be what is on the back of the book.
* Publication date (DD/MM/YYYY), as much as you can, but only the year is good too

For your next request, please follow instructions below:
We need a webpage showing the (ISBN/ASIN and other) book data. We also need it for the cover image. It should be non-bookseller site (Amazon & AbeBooks excepted), so from the publisher, library or another acceptable site: https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/...
Alternatively, if you have the book, we can use a scan/photo of your copy for the cover and the page with the publication information (you can upload a scan/photo of your own to the "more photos..." section of your profile (https://www.goodreads.com/photo/new)), then copy the link here and a librarian can add it. Make sure you state the source of the photo in the text and that your account settings are public (not private).

And when it's translated, please also include the Original Title.
