i haven't annotated on physical books yet but i would be open to do it with those transparent sticky notes that are on the market!!i highlight lots of thing on my kindle though <3

try to find those sticky notes with video reviews; the ones i bought doesn't really work well. like my ink or led wont stick to it if that makes sense.
I think annotations are great but then I just know myself… 100% I’m not going to read them again 😂. Also I share my books with my sister. I just think that it’s harder to share books if you have annotations inside. I would be annoyed to get a book with annotations 😂I would personally recommend getting a journal! I have a bullet journal for my books. I write my thoughts and favorite quotes, or pages I need to revisit (stuff like that). It is super fun because I can create beautiful pages for the books I’ve read 😊. It’s a way for me to reconnect with my creative side

I guess I usually don't write inside the book. I either use my journal, or I talk with my sister or friends. I am always curious to see which points stood out to them without them knowing what stood out to me beforehand (and vice versa). If that makes sense haha.
But I can see how reading an annotated book could be interesting :)!

i love annotating sm! i started bc i read a book and was freaking out sm and didnt have anyone to talk to about it so i wrote in the book instead😭😭it helps tho fr.i just bought a pack of different colored tabs on amazon and make little keys at the front of each book! helps me remember what happened so i’m actively reading instead of forgetting the last sentence lol
i adore annotating!! i do it as if it was like a comment or a youtube video, i guess i just love to comment every little thing i find interesting! 💕💕I use different color tags based on the cover colors and mark them at the start of the book so matches the vibe of the book but also makes me know some specific scenes or things like that… 🤪🤪
i mainly have like about 6 categories which are: important!, quotes or like things that leave me thinking, romance cute moments, funny moments, angst or sad, smut or anything like that 😌

help i want to start annotating my books but the highlighter i use bleeds through the pages, does anyone have stationary/writing material recs i can use??

I am always to scare to annotate cause I worry that I am going to mess up lol.
i want to start annotating but i don’t have any materials! plus i don’t know how 😭 can anyone recommend supplies or where to start?? even dropping down a name of a youtuber that makes videos of annotating would be extremely helpful <3
emmy I am in the same position. Like I want to make it aeshetic and all but don't know how.
because of gel pens sometimes being too inky, i tried those transparent sticky notes, they work for specific writing tools—like pencils are ok but never use pens

id figure out like what u wanna go back on? like r u the type to wanna go back and read cute moments or sad moments or good quotes? whatever you like, find a sticky tab color for it. once you have all your sticky tabs of stuff you wanna reread, start!
i just read the book and underline lines i like and put a tab there. if its like a entire paragraph i like, ill do brackets.
ik someone said use pencil, but pencil always looks bad IMO. id just try to find a pen that doesn't bleed.
also, i use a study bookmark to make straight lines so its pretty!!

my annotations are so weird and messy and confusing and so when i read my annotations im like tf was going on in my brain when i wrote that😭💀💀
