I was hoping to recruit a few captains (moderators). I'm getting a bit...swamped with studying and whatnot. (Spring break is over. Boo!)
The Directions To Apply:
To apply, you need to read the below piece of text: What Moderators Do. That'll help you find out if you're perfect for the job. Or if you have a willing schedule. (I know how stupid those things are.)
After that, look at: Application. You fill out the application and send it to me (Wren) via message. I'll look over your application. If you are what I need, I'll email you over Goodreads and promote you.
Note: If you're chosen to be a moderator, I will email you by personal email or Goodreads email bi-weekly to check in with you.
What Moderators Do: (Wren's definition)
-Moderators help pick out the books that the other members will vote on. (These books MUST have been read by AT LEAST ONE moderator.)
-Moderators will help sniff out the bad rebels. (Turncoats! Turncoats, I say!)
-Moderators will start discussions and participate.
-Moderators are allowed to ban people from the group. (Be careful with this power.)
-Moderators will help organize Read and Reviews AND Buddy Reads. (I mean that you'll help facilitate RARs to make sure the reviewer gets their book and puts up the review. And that the author sends the book to the reviewer. And you can help match people in the Buddy Reads thread as well as post discussions for the books that are matched up.)
-Moderators will help me with other jobs. (Some examples. Helping out with giveaways. Getting books to read to make sure they're appropriate for this group. Hunting down bullies. I can't always do them. When I can't do something, I'll send a moderator to do it for me. I know that sounds like the moderators are my...slaves, but I am a busy person. They'll help with the load.)
More of the details will come if you're promoted to moderator status.
Once I have four to five more moderators, this application will close.

I know this is a long application and a huge chunk of text to read. But I want to make sure my moderators/captains are ready and poised for the job.
