SAMEEEE Oh my God!! Violet was getting on my last nerve and I literally had to pause midway through the second book because I was getting so annoyed with her. Which is a shame, bc I really enjoyed the first book and I feel like the second one had the potential to really be so much better.

So I was on the fence with her during the first book thinking she was a bit of a pick me who tried a bit hard with the sarcastic humour, but she grew on me a little and then the second book just absolutely obliterated that. Like he literally proved why he couldn't tell her everything with the whole Dale shit and she still took up like 500 pages whining about it. Ughhhhh. Lucky we love shadow daddy.

A dumb female main character who thinks she is the biggest red flag when in all actuality she’s literally just clumsy and clueless. That’s it. Apparently not being perfect is enough of a flaw, so make her wear 6” heels and somehow we are supposed to be surprised that she’s super clumsy and that she can’t run in them?

But no the main male character is actually the biggest schmuck in US history with enough red flags to make the population look small, which is pretty freaking hard to beat.

so i’ve seen people saying that they don’t like chaol from throne of glass, and i get it for the first couple of books, but tower of dawn changed me man. like chaol is one of my favourite characters now and tower of dawn is FOR SURE my favourite in the series (i’m still of kingdom of ash tho, so we’ll see).
