Have you read The percy jackson series by Rick Riordan yet? His other series are great too.Also anything by Elizabeth Lim or Rachel Caine.
My kiddos are about your age. Highly recommend The Inheritance Games, The Hunger Games, Percy Jackson (The show is good too). They are all apart of a series, so if you like one you can read more that are similar.
I was 14 in the 90's and read almost everything. Worlds your stage.

Hello, feel free to add me I'm ALOT older than you but I read slot of young reader book's my bf is a teacher in middle grade so I read books her class is reading. I have a small book club with my nieces elementary grade level as well. if you have FREE LITTLE LIBRARIES in your area you can get great books for free there there's an app to find them in your area otherwise the library or thrift stores are great places to get books. my first recommendation is ISLAND OF THE BLUE DOLPHIN and THEY ALL HAD A REASON. happy reading my friend.

Im 28 but i would recommend the gallagher girls academy books by ally carter. I loved them when i was 14. I also would suggest rick riordans books, the raven cycle by maggie stiefvater, the inheritance games by jennifer lynn barnes, graceling by kristin cashore, the lunar chronicles by marissa meyer.
I was an LA teacher and so have read many great YA books. What subjects ir genres do you like?
