This series keeps coming up, but I don't think there's a Collin until like Book 8 (Possession - and all the editions are very much NOT blue and black!):
Daughters of the Moon: https://www.goodreads.com/series/4083...
EDIT: Night Shade has Collin in it (book 3), according to OpenLibrary, anyway. https://openlibrary.org/books/OL67946... It doesn't sound like it's right to me, but just to get the ol' ball rolling... ;)
Forgot to ask - just how many years ago? :) Decade?

I had my dad dig up his inactive B and N account and I was able to go on the digital library by downloading the Nook app on my phone! That thing has been inactive since 2016!!!! I’m going to post the synopsis on another comment, but one thing that is hilarious that I got wrong was the guys name which was Colton😂😂😂😂

For this book, it starts with a female MC and I believe she is in high school. On a rainy night she finds herself in a bookstore. She meets a guy and his mom (possibly a different family member?) and they tell her about some legends. I don't remember what the legend was, but maybe they were describing a story about a goddess. The male MC name may have been Collin. The female MC also likes to go on runs a lot. She may have been on the high school track team.
Plot point: At some point in this book or series, the main female character gets angry and goes on a run. It starts raining really hard because she can control the weather.
Plot point: I remember at some point in the series the male lead/love interest (Collin?) gets angry, punches a wall, and breaks his hand. I think he was angry because the female lead got hurt in some way.
Other characters: I don't remember much about the female MC family. I think she only lived with her dad. The male MC (Collin?) I remember has a very nice family and I remember more characters that were part of this family.
Plot point: There was a point in this book or series where the female lead sings "Brave" by Sara Barielles and plays the piano. I remember this well because I thought of how cringe it was. I think the Collin guy joins in singing with her as well and they have a little moment.
The last detail I can remember: I think the book cover was black and blue.
