Ammee Radebaugh | 130 comments I only have 4 hrs left in my book. I have been listening all day. It is definitely not going as i thought but still overall good.

message 53: by Nistha (new)

Nistha | 1017 comments I also started with my books. Change of plans for me, I was not able to find Fish Swimming in Dappled Sunlight so reading Leonard and Hungry Paul for the same task

message 54: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3289 comments I have about another hour left in my first book but I’m hosting a party tonight so will have to put it down until after.

message 55: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60153 comments I've got just under 2 hours to go in my book. No more hillbillies after this. I was reading Deliverance before I started my toppler book Bull Mountain. I must have picked them up in an Audible sale or daily deal.

I'm just going to make some supper, and then I'll get to my book.

message 56: by Ammee (new)

Ammee Radebaugh | 130 comments I finished my first book. I added it to the reporting thread as well as the points on the spreadsheet. I am going to start the second book now :)

message 57: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60153 comments I finished my book as well and have updated the spreadsheet. I'll start my second book after a bit of a break.

message 58: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3289 comments I finished my book and have no idea how to add it to the spreadsheet. I can ask my h for help tomorrow. I have added it to the reporting thread.

Working on the next book until I crash.

message 59: by Grainne (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1374 comments Congratulations on finishing your first books @Janice and @Ammee I have been reading all morning. It’s coming up to lunch time now.

message 60: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60153 comments I added your points for you Marnie. To record your finished book, you just need to add the 10 points in the last column. The formulas built it will total all the points. Right now, we're at 30.

message 61: by Grainne (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1374 comments Well done Marnie! I’ll keep reading here all day.

message 62: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3289 comments Thank you Janice. I was nervous I’d screw up and cause havoc.
Will give it a go on my next book.

message 63: by Grainne (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1374 comments I finished the book The Last Green Valley and I've recorded it in the reporting thread.

message 64: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3289 comments Look at Team 1 go!!!!

It’s rainy and blah here so a good day to Topple

message 65: by Grainne (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1374 comments I couldn't agree more. It's a rainy evening here too so a great day to Topple.

message 66: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3289 comments I started The Burning which was on my TBR but I only picked it because it had a fence on the cover.

It reminds me a bit of Tana French and I just checked there are 11 books in this series. Laughing because I think I may have reversed Toppled myself

message 67: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60153 comments I crawled into bed last night and started by kindle book, Coyote Waits. I will start my audiobook, The Strangers shortly.

These topplers have a tendency to do that. 🤣

message 69: by Ammee (new)

Ammee Radebaugh | 130 comments I have finished my second book and started the third. Since this book is from 1996 the audio of the the audio book is not the best. It should still be a good read though. At this rate I may be able to read more than I was thinking.

message 70: by Ammee (new)

Ammee Radebaugh | 130 comments Finished another one. The competitive part of me wants to go straight into another but I may need to take a tiny break before jumping into the next

message 71: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3289 comments I finished my second book and added it to the spreadsheet woohoo. Had to get help finding how to drop the keypad down but I think I did it correctly. Feeling accomplished lol

Going to listen to my octopus book The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi and give my eyes a rest

message 72: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60153 comments Look at you going! Awesome job. :)

message 73: by Grainne (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1374 comments That’s awesome. Well done guys. I started Anne of Avonlea.

message 74: by Ammee (new)

Ammee Radebaugh | 130 comments I finished the sun is also a star. I am starting water for elephants. I am going to look for more to add to the spreadsheet.

message 75: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3289 comments I am almost finished with The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi… and am comfortable adding another book.

I added Before the Coffee Gets Cold to the spreadsheet as best I could lol. ( no link) for a ranch task.

message 76: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60153 comments I finished work for the day, so I'm going to dive into my book and see how much damage I can do.

message 77: by Ammee (new)

Ammee Radebaugh | 130 comments Finished water for elephants and starting Turtles all the way down

message 78: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3289 comments My cabin book Good Girls Don’t Die

Is a book I had in my library que and had a cabin setting. Not sure how it got on my radar but it’s mpg horror which I avoid like the plague. I’m speeding up the scary parts so am flying through this one.

I also have all the lights on ;)

message 79: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3289 comments I’ve added Snowed In for Christmas for snow on the cover. Will be my falling asleep book

message 80: by Ammee (new)

Ammee Radebaugh | 130 comments Finished Turtles all the way down and now on to the descendants.

message 81: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60153 comments How is everyone doing? This thread is pretty quiet. I'm wondering if everyone has their nose in a book and haven't come up for air,

I have 2 hours left on my audiobook, and I'm at about 30% on my kindle book.

message 82: by Grainne (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1374 comments I have 40% left on my ebook.

message 83: by Ammee (new)

Ammee Radebaugh | 130 comments I finished the descendants and going to start the light between the oceans once I finish my appointment

message 84: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3289 comments I found a book set in France on my TBR. I added that so I have one written and one audiobook going.

My TBR feels toppled which is a good feeling.

message 85: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60153 comments I'm having an off day today so I didn't read at all. I'll read some of my kindle book when I crawl into bed.

message 86: by Ammee (new)

Ammee Radebaugh | 130 comments I finished my 8th book. I am starting a drop in the ocean. I am listening to the audiobook on Spotify. It should be interesting as didn't know about this that Spotify had audio books. Also it has been helpful to work from home as an accountant. So I have been doing a lot or working and diamond paintings while I listen.

I have been gophering for other books. Before I add books to the open categories is there anyone who doesn't feel they will be able to complete a task already assigned that is needed to close a category?

message 87: by Nistha (new)

Nistha | 1017 comments Hi all! My apologies for being a bit MIA. I see we are doing a great, good job all :) Just wanted to update you that I am still finishing my 2 books, with ~5 hours of audio left in one and 50% done through the other. So hopefully will be done by both soon. I am enjoying both of my reads but they are going so far more above average than great. I quite like how Leonard and Hungry Paul has picked up its pace after around 40% so having slightly higher expectations from that one.

message 88: by Grainne (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1374 comments Hi ladies, I finished the e-book Anne of Avonlea and I have started the e-book The Ranch. I am on track to finish the books that I've signed up for and I think that I can also read for another task on audio.

message 89: by Ammee (new)

Ammee Radebaugh | 130 comments I finished a drop in the ocean and am starting Christmas and Mistletoe Lodge. I had to change my other Lodge selection as the library and spotify didn't have it.

message 90: by Nistha (new)

Nistha | 1017 comments I finished The Guncle. Will see if I can squeeze in a 3rd book.

message 91: by Ammee (new)

Ammee Radebaugh | 130 comments Yay!! We got the bonus points for Beach!!

message 92: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3289 comments We have our first bonus points plus 100% participation from our team. Well done everyone!

message 93: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60153 comments I listen to audiobooks while I diamond paint too.

We're going great, or should I say, you're all doing great. I have 2 hours left in book2, and am at 60% book 3. Getting there, slowly but surely.

message 94: by Grainne (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1374 comments Well done everyone! We had snowfall last night and it looks so pretty and white here. Everything is covered in a blanket of snow. Reading for a toppler is a perfect way to spend a snowy evening with warm soup and tea and a cosy blanket.

message 95: by LoriLovesBooks (new)

LoriLovesBooks | 248 comments I’ve finished 2 books and should finish my 3rd before the end.

message 96: by Grainne (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1374 comments I have read 50% of the ebook The Ranch and I've finished French Illusions: From Tours to Paris I am just wondering what you think of this book for "artwork" on the cover. It's similar to Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh and the book is about the artist Vincent Van Gogh. Do you think it fits the prompt: Museum in the title, a statue or framed artwork on the cover or a museum is visited in the story? Louise and Vincent Louise and Vincent by Diane Byington

LoriLovesBooks | 248 comments Grainne wrote: "I have read 50% of the ebook The Ranch and I've finished French Illusions: From Tours to Paris I am just wondering what you think of this book for "artwork" on the cove..."

The framed artwork bit confuses me. I’m not sure if that means that an artwork in a frame has to be on cover, like this:

Under the Egg by Laura Marx Fitzgerald

Or just that the cover has to show a painting. If so, then the cover does show part of a painting by Vincent van Gogh called “Starry Night Over the Rhône”. It can be seen here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starry_...

message 98: by Ammee (new)

Ammee Radebaugh | 130 comments Honestly i am not sure either it may be something to ask Kristie if it will work. Because it definitely is artwork just don’t know about the framed part as well.

message 99: by Grainne (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1374 comments I am also on the fence about it. I used google books to search for the word museum but it’s not in the book. Incidentally, the book that I am reading The Ranch has a museum in it as one of the characters is on the board at the Guggenheim Museum and she is organizing a celebration ball. What a coincidence but I already assigned that for the task ‘ranch’ in the title.

message 100: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60153 comments Stating "framed artwork" differentiates from the cover art being considered artwork for the task. Best to ask Kristie.
