YA/NA Heroine attends an academy for paranormals. I can't remember a lot but she finds out her bond mate? has a girlfriend already and the hero hates the heroine. He always insults her.

I've been trying to find a romance book I read years ago. It had a heroine who was either YA or NA and she attended an academy for paranormals. I believe there was some type of fated mate bond or something like that.

The heroine wanted to try and get to know the hero before the bond happened, but the hero despises the heroine, and even has a girlfriend. The hero and gf rub it in the heroine's face every chance they get, even to the point the hero's best friend is uneasy about it because he knows what's going to happen when the bond kicks in.

When it does, it's too late. The heroine doesn't want anything to do with the hero, no amount of grovelling will fix it and she takes of to another place/dimension and the hero waits for her on the other side.

So yeah, I can't remember a lot but she finds out her bond mate? has a girlfriend already and the hero hates the heroine. He always insults her and tells her he will never want her, even when the bond is set in place. He is really cruel to the heroine. Then when they bond does take place, the heroine has left and goes to almost another dimension, leaving the hero behind who now has to grovel and beg for forgiveness.
