- See Mommy Run (Nancy Baker Jacobs)
- Tell No One (Harlan Coben)
- anything that Patricia Highsmith wrote before "Edith's Diary"
- The Big Picture (Douglas Kennedy)
- In a Dry Season (Peter Robinson)
- Plum Island (Nelson DeMille)
- Charlotte Link (a few of her books have been translated into English)
- all Adam Dalgliesh novels by P. D. James
