Incorrect book

Hi, if the placeholder cover was not available to readers in any way you should not create an ACE [Alternate Cover Edition]. It is not correct procedure. If the placeholder cover wasn't available to readers then it actually has to be changed for the actual cover. Only librarians can delete covers which is why I was asking. Creating an ACE only moves the ASIN number. All shelvings [want to read] there are currently 30 stay in the placeholder and if this cover was never available we just have a junk book record. Two editions exist for this book now. Please confirm if it was available or not so it can be fixed accordingly. Thanks for your understanding.

It's ok. Librarians can't edit the ASIN so we can't put it back. Only staff can do that so I requested a superlibrarian merge here https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Since the book has more than 5 shelvings I can't merge the books myself as I'm a regular librarian.
