(Steeplechase +BWF) Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh - 4 stars

I do not follow blogs or listen to podcasts so I was unaware of Allie Brosh who apparently has an award winning blog with millions of followers. Most of the essays in this book are quite funny and I absolutely cracked up over her stories about her dogs. 'Simple' dog and 'Helper' dog are hysterical and her attempts to train, contain, groom or even play with them usually ends up in humorous disaster. I did not enjoy the self-reflection essays quite so much but I do believe she put honest emotions in there. As for her illustrations: at first I thought they were rather horrid but they certainly grew on me to become whimsical. It's a quick (so many illustrations!) and humorous read that I enjoyed, not enough to search out her blog, but it was fun.
