Sean Sparks I’ve only had one DNF book. Other people liked it, but the “snappy” dialogue was too intensely irritating for me to forgive. I felt a little guilty, and didn’t list it as such - DNF - because a writer puts their time, heart, and soul into a book, and because of their efforts, I feel I should finish a book.

This is only me, and I can’t judge what other people feel and think about particular books. Books are artworks and if I have genuine feelings one way or another, the art has accomplished what it sets out to do. This is the main reason I also seek out the old high school classics, so my appreciation (not my like or dislike) of other times and feelings can increase both my knowledge and awareness and allow me to grow as a person.

It's fine for a while but if a character does or says something that is sooo badly done/written, then it's DNF for me, no matter which page I am.

hehehehe

Phrodrick slowed his growing backlog This is me putin on on a bold front. I never, ever no matter what DNF a book. If I do I never , ever review it.
Meantime I am hoping no one looks back through my recent reviews to see a book I DNF and reviewed.

Seriously I rarely DNF, and have no set page limit. In this last case the book seriously ticked me off, fairly early on. OTOH if I am say, over the 1/2 mark I feel a need to finish it , if only to give it a bad review.
