I listened to the audio not too long after it came out I think and remember next to nothing about it. The narrator wasn't bad, but had the type of voice that I found soothing to the point of tuning it out.

This book is a sort of magical realism take on war and migration. Saeed and Nasia meet in an unidentified country but eventually have to flee. There are mysterious doors that take people to other countries. But the issues are the same as in our world - giving up one's home and culture, never seeing your family again, trying to get supplies in a new land, figuring out who to trust, being threatened by first world inhabitants who resent you. The book is short and poetic/philosophical so it didn't really grab me the way an actual story like Solito did.
