I didn’t have any dnfs till now, but I probably wouldn’t.I didn’t finish it after all…
I click on yes b/c to me, it feels like, I'm finished dealing with this book. I'm done. It's a sort of closure.
Nope. If I don't finish, I don't let myself feel the satisfaction of calling a book finished.
Yes, I do! But I almost never DNF books (I've done it with maybe 10 in the past 5 years) and I try to always read at least 50% of the books no matter how much I don't like them. I also always leave reviews on these and mention that I DNFd - I find it helpful when other people do that so I know what to avoid lol.
I used to count them, but now I don't. The only book I have DNFed so far this year is a book that I'm not publicly reviewing due to the St. Martin's Press Boycott going on as it was a St. Martin's Press book that I received from book of the month.
I don't count DNFs as read, though I do mark them on the Storygraph.
I review books for a library-I've always wanted to start another review page titled "Books I've read so you don't have to," but my snark machine hasn't been cranked to 11 yet.

Definitely not. If I don't get through the entire thing, it's not a read book in my mind.
No. It's like running a lap but you stop before the finish line and still try to count it as a lap.
I usually force myself to finish the book in a day to get rid of it and count it as read
I don't. But even if I don't count them as read, I sometimes leave reviews, because the dnf ar normally books that I found extremely boring or actually bad, so I have to leave a review to let others know why I decided not to finish them

No. I have several that I have not touched for a while, I will finish them eventually. I have only 3 that I actually never finished. They are memorable in that there was no way I could finish them.

I have a tried-but-failed shelf. I don't include it in my yearly goals, but I also don't DNF often. Sometimes, I make sure I like a book before I add it to my "currently reading".

No because I didn’t actually read it. I will look up spoilers if I dnf far in which rarely happens. I try to dnf before 100 pages if I’m going to
I do if I have made it far enough in the book. I always try to make it at least to 100 pages before I give up. And even then I find myself going back to it and flipping through pages. It takes a lot for me to give up on a story and if I have stuck around and read what I did, I take credit for it.

No generally if I'm going to dnf a book it's at most 25% of the way through so I don't count it.
i've actually dnf only one book. i think it's in "read" on my goodreads but only to leave a review, in which i think i wrote i didn't finish. not sure tho, I don't remember.

No, but Goodreads counts it as read. Which is why Storygraph is better in this case. It actually has DNF stats along with your read stats.

It really depends on the situation. If, for instance, someone asks if I've read a the book and liked it, I'll say I did read it. But in my mind I won't say the I've read the DNF, because I haven't finished the book.
I want to say yes, but it's a no because even though I read it until a certain point, I haven's finished it.
No...but I have a DNF tag where I shelve it.
