So... I remember reading this book when I was in secondary school but I have no idea what it's called!
The story involves a boy called Scout (I think) who meets another boy who I think is referred to as Soldier Boy? But again... I could be wrong as my memory does not serve me well.
I think that 'Soldier Boy' was from somewhere else in Europe... maybe Russia, Ukraine, Poland but again I'm struggling to remember. From what I remember the boys end up running from the police/ spies or something of the sort.
If I remember correctly the author was male and also went by another name and had other titles released under this.
Apologies for the patchy information... I know it's not a lot to go off of but if anyone is able to help me identify the book it would be massively appreciated! I'm desperate to find out!
Additional info: I remember reading this in class in year 7/8, which would have been 2010/2011 but the book was definitely older than this - not recent to those times.
I think the book was also a bit of a rogue/unknown choice by my teacher... not a traditional class read like Of Mice and Men, To Kill a Mockingbird etc.
I think one of the names that the author went by sounded eastern european... but again I could be wrong (shocker)!
