As I am reading this (I am on chapter 11) all I can do is think of how this reminds me of Twilight. It is very cliche with the typical "monsters/vamps" stereotyps. I do like the descriptions of the setting and the care the author uses to paint a picture though. Hopefully as I keep reading my opinion changes.

Chapter 24

I have started to get into the book a little more. It is still a bit weird reading about teenagers in love. I am in love with the setting. The white snow covering a gothic castle just adds more to the story. It gives the reading a horror feel. The author also does a great job of using the setting to add suspense to the plot.

How do yall feel about the setting of the book? Do you believe that the environment and weather play an essential role in the book?

(view spoiler)[ It seems like there is a curse or something that keeps the other characters from telling Grace the truth about the school. Anytime it comes up, they eiter trail off or change the topic quickly. It is very obvious that they are not being honest, which I wonder why Grace hasn't picked up on it or called them out more. She just kinda accepts it for what it is.

As I am reading I am thinking that these students are all some sort of "supernatural" beings. The factions that they split in is the biggest clue to this. I am thinking that is 100% why they do not mix together. I also am thinking that Grace is going to have some sort of powers that she got from her dad. I am not quite sure what she is or where she will fit in. What are some of your theories about what is going on at the school? (hide spoiler)]

I already read this series and loved it. I think I 5 starred them. I think I still have the last two to read but it's been over a year since I read them that I need a refresher.

Chapter 41

(view spoiler)[ Grace has just found out what is going on at Katmere and she honestly is taking it very well. So the students are either vampires, dragons, wolf shifters, or witches. Really wish they had some faries/fae, ghosts/banshiees, mermaids, ect. However, Grace is just a normal human that does not really fit in anywhere. I wonder how this will play into the plot going forward. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I knew something was up with Lea when shevwas first introduced. I knew the act of liking Grace was false and she was gonna use her. I didn't think she would sacral her to raise Hudson though. What did your gifted impressions of her?

Also Grace turned into a Gargoyle, uhh what? If anything i thiught shevwould have been a witch. Nope shes a Gargoyle, something they hacent seen for years. (hide spoiler)]
