Questions about the academics in this book

I have two questions about this book:

1) How competitive is the academic environment at the high school that Lara Jean and Peter attend?

2) What are these two characters' stats? (GPA, SAT/ACT, ECs; they must all be understood in the context in which the book was written, in which case UVA, W&M, UNC-Chapel Hill aren't as competitive as they are post-pandemic)
