Vanna I did feel like it was an idea off of Rowling's work, which left an ugly taste in my throat. I've never understood why it had to sound so much like Harry Potter. She could have made up her own world and characters without plainly changing the names and genders.

Did love Eleanor and Park tho. She needs to stick with heartfelt stories, and not "rip-offs" as you said lol.

Hailey No, I didn't really like the snippets of it from Fangirl so I can't really see myself reading the whole thing.

Hina I actually enjoyed the whole book as well as the Simon Snow fanfics so if I got a chance to read Carry On, I would. The only problem is that I wouldn't BUY it, so I don't think I'll ever read it unless someone I know has it.

Carry On is one of the cutest books I've read - It obviously represents book series such as Harry Potter, because that is the world Cath loves.
Snows story is really cute and has its own charm - far off from HP

Bochra998 i hated her writing , and fangirl was a huge disappointing to me , i will never read carry on i think it was a bad thing to add randomly in the book .

Wika I skipped all texts about them in "Fangirl" xD so we will see

Sadi I liked the Simon story when it was told in bits and pieces. Like a lot of people, it always reminded me of Harry Potter so when I heard it was an actual book, I didn't know if it would work out. Although some parts were really interesting, I don't think I'm going to read it.

Emma No way. I did not get along with Simon Snow in the book and I ended up skipping all those chapters/fan fic Cath read Levi. I don't like vampires, haven't read Harry Potter, and I absolutely hate fan fiction, even if it's fiction fan fiction.

Klain I don't think that I'm going to read it. I didn't like the parts of it in fangirl soooo... also hearing that it's more a Harry Potter ripoff makes me to read it less.

filippareads I personally disliked the Simon and Baz fanfic in Fangirl, and I even skipped some parts of it. Because of this, I decided to never read Carry On. Then, after seeing so many positive reviews, I decided to give it a shot.
After reading it, it is one of my favorite books I've read so far this year! Trust me, it was nothing like the fanfic in Fangirl, and it was not at all a bad copy of Harry Potter. It was just alike enough that it was enjoyable to read for HP fans, because you recognize characters and see the similarities between the two wizarding worlds. The characters remind you of certain HP characters, but they felt completely like their own people. I never felt like I was reading Harry Potter, and I kept forgetting it was based off of that until I came across a similarity and thought "huh, this reminds me of HP.."

In conclusion, READ IT! It's a wonderful book, and it's nothing like I thought it would be after reading Fangirl.

Gabriela I wouldn't say its a Harry Potter "ripoff" its more fan-fiction. She clearly developed the protagonists around draco and harry. I read the book and it was very entertaining.

Lindsey I'm a hater of fantasy and almost anything like it but I'm still going to read it because i love her writing and i want to read another romance by her

My Yeah i have just finishen to day😁

Lindsey It was actually the only fantasy that I liked

Marianella I loved fangirl yet I did not enjoyed as much the parts related to Simon story. Maybe a have a prejudice about it but I do not like that the story is similar to Harry Potter. I am a huge fan of Harry but if anybody recommends to me maybe I will consider it.
