I was looking for my edition of The Lords of Discipline by Pat Conroy. The main record https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8... for the book shows that I have read the book, but none of the editions show as being read. It isn't easy to find books on my shelves as they are extensive. I finally found my book at https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6... Adding this link in the "This topic is about" space generates a popup message that the book isn't found. I was able to go direct to the link where there is a message that states "This item does not meet our catalog guidelines and can no longer be rated or reviewed." Can a similar message appear on the main book page or editions page that lets the user know that the edition they originally added / reviewed has been moved and they need to pick a new one. Some classics have loads of editions that take time to go through. This book has just under 100 and that's still a lot.
I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the book I selected originally. It would be nice to have more information on books that have issues,or notify users when they have books that are deemed not to meet guidelines.
There is an issue with bots incorrectly marking books as invalid. I changed this edition back to valid, but it might need some time before it shows normal.
