I just started reading this yesterday. I've had it on my TBR for awhile, so I'm looking forward to read it.

Just from the blurb, I'm expecting a thriller that reads like a Hollywood action movie starring, say, Helen Mirren and Judy Dench.

The blurb reminded me of RED, although I never saw the movie. I think Helen Mirren was the woman in that, wasn't she?

My hold just came in. I'm thinking it'll be a cross between an Ocean's type job and a twist on the one last gig before retirement trope. How good it will be will probably depend on how creative it can get within those confines. It's not my usual genre but it's certainly worth a shot.

I just got it from the library and also on audiobook. I don't know which form I will consume yet (maybe switching back and forth, who knows). I just read the blurb but I'm hoping for something that I love as much as The Thursday Murder Club. I know it's not quite the same but that's my hope. Looking forward to it. Part of the TMC association is that I have always pictured Helen Mirren to be Elizabeth for that movie too.

Just requested it from the library! I've got a big stack of library books to work through so it might be a while before I get around to actually picking it up but it looks like a lot of fun.

I forgot to post before I started, but as Susan said, I was expecting something like Thursday Murder Club/Marlow Murder Club but with less mystery; unlike Susan, I didn't love those books.
