For days now I can't update page counts or send messages to ask for for help

I don't think authors can update page counts themselves. You can post requests in this folder: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...Be sure to include the ISBN/ASIN, whichever is appropriate.
It's not for books I wrote. It's just the normal average I'm reading a book and I read X # of pages thingy on the home page.
Try posting on the Goodreads Feedback forum; I don't think librarians can help with this issue. https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/1
