The Strangest Place You Found Yourself Reading!

Ok let's have some fun. We see people pop open a book or E-reader in some pretty interesting places. Where is the most bizarre place you've found yourself reading??

the strangest place for me will probably be at a soccer game or on a plane - it's not very common to see people reading at airports or games haha

Standing in line to check out in store(it was long) read books on my phone sometimes
I’ve definitely never read while checking out at the grocery store but that’s pretty funny! I’ll definitely have to keep an eye out for other people who might be doing that.
And I’ve definitely seen people sitting down in those little places in King Soopers, where there’s a Starbucks, or a different coffee shop, reading the newspaper and such
Reading at the doctor's ofc is necessary--the wait can be interminable!
It’s funny you say that! I definitely remember going to doctors offices back in the day, and then having entire magazine racks. It’s sad those have disappeared.
at my husband's election night party for our city council. I don't like to be around a lot of people & the energy was so nervous. I tucked myself in a corner and read away from everyone. lol!

I’ve read in restraunts before my phone died so only source of entertainment
At the allotment, in between veg digging. Waiting for husband to dig up veg then I would collect up and running
A family reunion that I really didn’t want to go to…trying to avoid some members of my family.
My Uni's generator room. It was chaos that day with lost freshmen everywhere on campus (first day) so i snuck in. It was loud as hell but worth it.

I always bring a 400 pages book (for instance Peter Robinson's DCI Banks series) to flights to Europe. It's just the right amount of pages to finish during the 8 hours flight.

I read when I walk to and from home, I guess I just don't know when ro put a book down sometimes

Honestly crashing is the main thing, reading is secondary haha.I'm now offically a self professed expert in both crashing a read walking. I mean we all have to have a talent
In the middle of an orchestra and band concert.
When I first got my kindle and noticed it fit perfectly in my purse I started taking it with me EVERYWHERE, I started reading at the bar one night out and my boyfriend finally was like "time to start leaving it at home" lmaoo

Back when I was able to ride the bus I would read paperback books on the city bus and also at the bus stops.. And these days I read books all the time in the back of the car (its like a taxi or uber) on the way to my horse appointments. That ride is like 45 minutes! Plenty of time to read. But some drivers are careless + they have the music up loud while I am trying to read. Or worse they have a radio talk show on. But in general I can get about 100 pages read on the way to / from my horse appointment.
A wedding! And I was reading The Fiancée Farce by Alexandria Bellefleur which really depicted the whole mood of reading it. I was proud in that 'method reader' moment, I still have vivid picture of me sipping my drink and nodding along to the steamy scene...
On a plane, a doctors office or restaurant if I'm alone tho.
I brought a book to a New years eve party and was reading and didn't noticed it turned12:00!!
I always carry a book, so I read everywhere. The place I get the weirdest looks is when reading during a party or line dancing event.
