Lizzy Lewis | 1 comments I am trying for 50 books this year. I used to absolutely adore reading as a child, so much so that I majored in English. However, school actually ruined my hobby for me, forcing me to read many books at the same time that I didn't really like with super tight deadlines. What I used to love I came to dread. However, this year I am set on taking back what was once mine! I am already on book #5 and it feels absolutely incredible to be back at it. Cheers to a wonderful year of reading ahead!

Elizabeth Sofia | 150 comments Hi, Lizzy Lewis. I also have a Bachelor's degree in English, as well as in History. I too found that having to analyze and criticize every book I read took the fun out of reading. I regained the sense of joy, fun, and excitement. You can do it.

I think most people can relate to loosing their love of reading at some point in life. If it's not in school because of required reading, it's in college because of not having the time with lectures or whatnot. Even if it's just due to discovering a social life or other interests.

That being said, I commend you for actively trying to reignite that passion this year :)
And it seems like you're doing great and well on your way to reaching your goal. So I want to wish you the best of luck. I hope you're having a fantastic year, and continue to do so.

Looking forward to seeing what else you'll be reading.
Have fun!
