Dan | 18 comments Do you know a classic hardboiled American crime fiction title that is not already on our bookshelf that we should consider reading as a group? If so, please make up to two nominations here at this topic.

Nominations most sought are for 1940s or 1950s titles written by well-known American authors we have not yet read. That's not to say I won't consider other nominations outside these specifications, just that the ones with the characteristics described have the best chance of making it on to the poll.

Please nominate by close of Valentine's Day (February 14). I want to start the poll February 15.

Dan | 18 comments I nominate The Case of the Velvet Claws by Erle Stanley Gardner. It's the first Perry Mason book. Ever read it? Now is your chance!
