The book you like most discussion
books that weren't as good as people made them out to be

The same with "Secret History" by Donna Tartt...so boring!

Agreed

I only read the first book, to be honest, but it had huge plot holes. I am still hesitant to continue with the other ones.

Colleen Hoover is not worth the hype!! I dislike all of her books.

The Burning Witch. I wrote a review in Goodreads, hope you'll read it, comments always welcome.

Rooney is a super divisive writer. Don't get her but I know people who LOVE her work

wrong, i really enjoyed the book, i love the author and i liked the way it was written, its just… it wasn’t as earth shattering as people make it out to be

ugh maze runner was AWFUL

Well, the "reflections" in the book are quite simple, and it is literally very easy to disagree with them, because they were indeed somewhat absurd. I don't take away from the importance of the impact the book had at the time, or the beautiful writing, among other things, but really, for me, it's not an amazing book at all,

it honestly disappointed me so much. like don’t get me wrong the romance and the story were good but i just didn’t really connect to the love between roman and iris like i thought i would. it just felt lacking somehow, i was more interested in the war than in their romance
You don't necessarily have to have hated it but just thought it was overrated.
My two picks are probably Binding 13 and Evelyn Hugo, I did enjoy both books but from the praise they got online I thought I was getting some life changing, amazing books instead B13 felt like a basic teen drama (fun, but it didn't stand out much from other similar books which left me wondering how it got so popular) and EH, I found the twist too obvious and felt like a bit more could have been done with the idea (taking out the unneeded twist, just focusing on the old hollywood aspect and celia which was why most people were reading it.)
what are your picks?
