I read this book about ten years ago and it was a detective solving a case of a missing child from a block of flats in London. There was a character who, it was suggested, had learning difficulties and the residents of the flats blamed him for the child's disappearance. I can't remember much more other than it has stuck with me.
I have tried FB groups and google but cannot find it. I know there is not a lot to go on but any help would be appreciated!
