What makes these a series? Do they share characters, a world, etc.?

These stories take place in the same world/location. The main characters in each are present in the others. "Multiple Blessings" and "The Founding Years" are associated series, as the characters in the Multiple Blessings series are present in the Founding Years as side characters.
