Cassandra Clare Books

Does anyone have advice for what order to read Cassandra Clare's books in? I haven't read anything by her yet, but I really want to get into the whole infernal devices universe.

I would say that publication order is the safest option. Eventually characters from the different series start showing up outside of their own series, which could lead to spoilers if you just read one series at a time, but if you read in publication order, you’ll avoid spoilers for the other series.

I've only read part of the Mortal Instruments so far, but plan on reading Cassandra's books more in depth in the future, so I've done some research on this! I've found 4 different orders to read them in: Suggested order by Cassandra, in order of each series, publication order, or chronological order.
