B. Jewell | 10 comments Willing to swap pages for similar fantasy/environmentally themed books.
Story outline follows dual POV, brother and sister. 15 yo Kara, a fashionista, mini-influencer, is given a magical journal on her birthday. She's disappointed but acts happy as it's from her Uncle who seems to know something about where her dad is. Dad has been gone for 5 years "on a secret government mission" that no one is allowed to talk about. Kara thinks 5 years is long enough to be gone and is diligently trying to get him to return. She's convinced that if she portrays a happy home life on instagram, he'll see and return home.
13 yo Dustin is convinced it's his job to save the world. He has created a bioplastic bag and believes with his wealthy Grandma's help, it could be a start to saving the planet.
Kara gets her way to visit their grandma via Grandma's private plane. On the flight the plane experiences turbulence and they enter a portal to another world.
The plane is too damaged to continue, so they all have to parachute out. Kara is separated from her brother and the copilot.
The siblings try to find each other on this new planet, crossing paths with mythical creatures: mermaid, gasogonoga, kitsune, Sphinx, elves, dragons and more.
This has gone through a developmental edit.
If the above sounds interesting to you, please let me know so I can share pages.

Liz (lizkeedy) | 16 comments Hi B, I'm currently rewriting a MG portal fantasy, and aiming for a chapter a week. Let me know if you're still looking for a critique partner for the first few chapters.

Savannah Frost Hunsaker | 2 comments I’d love to help out. I’m in the process of writing a YA dark fantasy and would love an outline critique. Would you be willing to swap?

I don't know what I did wrong, I thought I set this up to receive notifications. After a month of no comments, I assumed no one was available. I apologize for not responding sooner!

Tim,
If you are still available, please send me your email address and I'll send pages over.
Thanks!

Hi Savannah,
I can read your outline and provide notes, no problem. I'm on my final rewrite of my book, so I don't need an outline review. I just need beta readers. Let me know.
Thanks,
B. Jewell

Hi Liz,
I'm open to exchanging some pages. I will say, my current critique group through SCBWI has a couple of MG, and I recognize it's not my forte since MG tends to be a bit hard for me to provide great feedback as I don't read it too often.
