How do you annotate your books?

I use simple sticky tabs and highlight quotes with black pen. If it is a mystery or thriller, I add super short summaries at the end of 10 chapters with a sticky note. But I might be open to new ideas!

i used to use highlighters and page tabs, now i pretty much exclusively underline in pen and dogear my absolute favorite pages <3
