AJ Brekke (aj_breakfast) | 5 comments There was this interactive picture book about a vampire. My sister read it between 2010 and 2015. The vampire might have been purple and my sister is certain he had an unsettling face. There was a page about blood oranges in the fridge and there was a flap that was the fridge door that you could open and close. There was another page about his blood hound. And another page about drinking blood from a juice box, and so on. Thats all she can remember.

Capn | 3506 comments Hi AJ,

Lift-the-Flap, right? Cartoony images, or more realistic?

There wasn't a list so I started one:

AJ Brekke (aj_breakfast) | 5 comments I showed my sister the list, and the book she's looking for isn't on there, unfortunately. She is sure that it was a lift-the-flap type book and it was in a cartoony style.

Becca (beccalikesbooks) | 5545 comments I can't find out much about them, but maybe Count, Dagmar! or Vunce Upon A Time by J. Otto Seibold? Both feature the same vampire character and Count, Dagmar! has flaps to lift, but not sure if Vunce... does

Becca (beccalikesbooks) | 5545 comments Edit: just saw that Vunce Upon A Time was on the list Capn posted, but not Count, Dagmar, so it's probably a long shot but worth checking just in case

Capn | 3506 comments Count, Dagmar! for Becca's link (and thanks, Becca - added it to the list now!). :)

AJ Brekke (aj_breakfast) | 5 comments unfortunately it's not count dagmar either, i don't think it's by Seibold

Kyleigh Thaxton | 1 comments Aj,
I swear I read this exact same book as a kid. Please tell me it was “Dracula’s Tomb” by Colin McNaughton. I scoured the internet looking for it tonight and found your question on Google.. I HAD to come and tell you I swear it has to be that same book??

Dracula's Tomb by Colin McNaughton
Enter, if you dare, the bloodcurdling (and sidesplitting) world of Transylvania’s most infamous gourmet.

Open the Velcro tabs on this coffin-shaped tomb — er, tome — for a peek at some little-known details of Dracula’s infancy, school days, cherished belongings, and lively nightlife. Peer inside a vampire’s fridge and closet, peruse photos of little Drac with boyhood friends, meet his many pets, and get a taste, so to speak, of what eternal life is like for the world’s biggest pain in the neck. Just beware of the final spread — who knows what creepy consequences might spring up if visitors don’t obey the signs?
